Radio and TV star, Zimiphi Biyela aka Zimdola, is living her dreams
Mzansi radio personality, Zimiphi Happiness Biyela, is no stranger to the entertainment industry and the community of South Africa as a whole.

Zimiphi Biyela, who is popularly known as “Zim Dollar” or “Zimdola” has been a presenter at SABC’s Ukhozi FM for more than 10 years and during those years have made her brand stand and is known for the magnificent work that she does on radio as well as at events she hosts throughout the country. Zimiphi has become a huge success and she knows just how to connect with people as that comes naturally for her.
But her talents doesn’t stop there. Zimiphi is also an actress of an award-winning drama series, Uzalo, which plays on SABC1. Her acting career with the Uzalo family has been an absolute achievement for her.
This year has been an absolute blessing for Zimiphi, who landed herself a big role in the most watched drama series, eHostela, which plays on Mzansi Magic channel 161.

Zimiphi loves and enjoys her role on eHostela a lot, as the camera and the script ha become a part of her life.
This year also marked the beginning of many new projects. Zimiphi was chosen as the brand ambassador of Prince funeral life cover, and that has been a privilege for her as she feels she is one woman who is determined to make a difference in people’s lives.
Zimiphi is also an editor of a magazine that has just been launched in the country. It features African music and art. However, the sky is the limit for Ms Biyela.
You can catch her on Ukhozi FM presenting Sgiya Ngengoma every Saturday from 9am to 12, and on Sbhukuda Kwesumanzonzo every Thursday from 11pm to 2am.

The radio star is originally from Empangeni but currently lives in Durban’s Morningside.
She also hosted one of the biggest Maskandi events at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 20 July.
Although she has such a big radio following, Zimiphi is focussing more on her acting now, and is currently waiting for new opportunities in acting.
