It's fair to say that South African rugby player Schalk Brits is big in Japan.

The Springbok hooker has had an eventful Rugby World Cup at the ripe old age of 38.

Since his introduction at the tournament, a series of video clips showcasing his personality have gone viral.

There's a beautiful moment showing his interaction with one of the child mascots ahead of the South Africa versus Namibia match.

However, Briefly.co.za gathered that the contest between the Springboks and Canada provided the most memorable footage.

During the match, the hooker bowed to the ball girl and boy when collecting the ball for a line-out throw.

At the end of the encounter, Brits swapped shirts with Candian hooker Andrew Quattrin, only to see the number 2 struggle to fit into his shirt.

The considerate Brits helped Quattrin get into the top and had a ball while assisting him.
