While some fans may be wishing for a Mamelodi Sundowns loss over the weekend, Kaizer Chiefs legend Rudolf 'Gardner' Seale would like nothing more for them to progress to the final of the Telkom Knockout.

Seale then hopes his former side progresses as well and settles the score against the Brazilians.

His sentiments are largely based on his view that Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has targeted Chiefs with his comments to the media.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Mosimane feels that the Glamour Boys have benefited from referee bias this season.

Seale said, "That on its own is going to settle the score, you know which score I'm talking about. Ja the stories of saying referees this, who's benefiting this and that. Ja I'm hoping for a Chiefs and Sundowns final."

KickOFF.com reported that Seale also warned that the results would not be a foregone conclusion as both teams face challenging opponents in the semi-finals.

Golden Arrows will first host Sundowns on Saturday, followed by the contest between Maritzburg United and Chiefs on Sunday.

Seale believes that a Chiefs and Arrows final could be a spicy affair as well based on the history with Arrows coach Steve Komphela.

Seale added, "Imagine if he has to play Kaizer Chiefs, whereby according to me he was unceremoniously evicted. So I think he will want to beat Kaizer Chiefs by all means."
