In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that AKA's new TV show titled The Braai Show managed to pull in over two million viewers during its debut. The show premiered on SABC 1 on 12 November.
The show's first episode saw AKA interview flamboyant politician Fikile Mbalula. Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela took to Twitter on Wednesday, 18 November to share that the programme pulled in a whopping 2.8 million viewers. Phil posted:
"The Braai Show with AKA started airing on SABC1 on Thurs, November 12th at 19h30 — pulling in 2.8 million viewers in its very first episode. Making it the 13th most-watched programme on the channel and 18th in South Africa."
Phil further explained that if the show retains its viewership, it will make the musician the second-highest-rated talk show host in Mzansi. He added:
"If the show retains the 2.8 million viewers or pulls higher, it will likely fall behind Nyan Nyan in terms of most-watched talk shows in South Africa."
