K.O has reportedly shared why he thinks artists will be reluctant to drop new music in 2021. The rapper took to Twitter recently to share his thoughts on releasing new music amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The star reportedly predicted 2021 to be a year of drought for the local music industry because no musician would want to release dope tracks if touring to promote the songs is not allowed during the lockdown.

The country is currently on Level 3 lockdown aimed at curbing the spread of the the deadly coronavirus. Entertainment events are not allowed during the adjusted Level 3 lockdown.

HipHopMag reported that K.O said on Twitter:

"Some artists might even be reluctant to put out their best work because the pandemic does not let up, then what’s the point of one putting out a big album when you can’t even tour it."

The Mission Statement hitmaker recently told a fan on Twitter that he will drop his album in the second half of 2021. He shared that his signees Ma-E and Loki also got new music coming up as well.

In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za reported that the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown has not deterred Mzansi rapper K.O's work ethic. The star recently took to social media to share details of the hard work he has been putting into his brand lately.

The Supa Dupa hitmaker has released new music and has also dropped a few videos this year. He has also been working on the winter range of his fashion line, Skhanda World. K.O said he is really motivated to put more effort on himself this year. He tweeted:
