DJ Tira was apparently responsible for a storm being cancelled, according to hilarious social media users. The weekend was tense for Durbanites as they awaited the onslaught from Cyclone Eloise.

The weather forecast had predicted that the hurricane would hit Limpopo and some parts of KZN, including Durban.

Fortunately, the storm weakened and never hit the city, resulting in relieved social media users sharing their thoughts. One Twitter user joked that the storm was cancelled due to intervention by DJ Tira.

The Durban music producer spotted the post and re-shared it on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that DJ Tira is not one to stay on a sinking ship. With amapiano taking over the Mzansi music landscape, it’s a case of adapt or die.

The gqom music producer has chosen to adapt. Taking to Instagram recently, Tira shared a picture of Reece Madlisa and Zuma, 2 top amapiano artists and welcomed them to Durban. The Afrotainment owner did not say anything else but fans were quick to draw their own conclusions. Many pointed out that gqom was obsolete and it was time to look into working with amapiano artists.

The Jerusalema hitmaker had gone to Zodwa’s house to purchase some eggs. Zodwa treated Nomcebo to some home-grown chicken and it seems Zikode thoroughly enjoyed it.

Zodwa was completely star-struck by the famous musician and couldn’t believe that she was at her home.
