Ex-Hillsong Members Claim Pastors Used Tithe to Live Expensively

It seems Hillsong Church’s troubles are not about to come to an end.

Just days after two more preachers exited the house of worship, yet another scandal has arisen.
According to former members of the popular church, most pastors who work there use tithes and offerings to fund their expensive lifestyles.
According to Pagesix, ex-members of the New York branch complained of money minded preachers who drove the most expensive cars, wore costly designer outfits and dined at the finest restaurants in town.
To add insult to injury, it is believed that a lot of men and women of cloth from the huge church own expensive homes and investments.
A lot of members who left Hillsong said the whole trend disgusted them.
Herman, a pastor who used to work at the church, revealed that cash contributed by worshipers would be loaded into cards that were handed to his colleagues.
They would then splash on whatever items pleased their hearts.
He told New York Post he was following instructions.
On top of this, the church has been accused of tolerating homophobia and “slave labour.”
As previously stated by Briefly.co.za, two other preachers associated with the house of worship cut ties with it.
Desiree Noel Robertson and Blaze Robertson, former preachers at the church, announced they planned to join a different church in the US.
The pair set their eyes on Greenwich’s Harvest Time Church.
Just as 2021 was kicking off, Harvest Time’s management asked its congregants to show up in numbers to meet the pair on January 2.
It was stated that the house of worship was considering the possibility of making the former Hillsong employees its executive pastors.
