Itumeleng Khune of Chiefs is at long last coming out of his long hiatus away from football field. The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper had been absent from the field since last year December before Christmas time.

His first game for this year will be taken place against AmaZulu on Wednesday night this week and many locals don't seem to think that it's a good idea that he will be back for the time being. Others however welcomed the player back in the game.

"Kaizer Chiefs is going to lose this game why because there's no understanding between Itumeleng and the players they don't understand him like the likes of Renelwe, Tshabalala, and Parker I am just saying my facts"

"I like the fact that Khune is no longer our Captain. Well done Hunt for taking away armband from underperforming Khune. Keep going Rama our new skipper."

Briefly.co.za previously reported five months Kaizer Chiefs have hinted at the return of their captain and goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune. In a post on Twitter, @KaizerChiefs uploaded an image of Khune with the hashtag #Amakhosi4Life.

The tweet has since gained over 4 000 likes since its upload this morning. According to kickoff.com, Khune is likely to return to the squad when Amakhosi take on Chippa United at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday, 2 September. This after an injury update by @KaizerChiefs stating that Daniel Akpeyi suffered a concussion on Sunday against Wits.
