American rapper Bobby Shmurda has been released from prison and celebrities all over the world are celebrating. The 26-year-old rapper pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapon possession back in 2016.
Bobby was released from prison on 23 February 2021 and fans welcomed him back with open arms. Briefly.co.za takes a look at four celebrities who reacted to Bobby's Shmurda's release.
1. Chris Brown
American singer and dancer Chris Brown took to his Instagram stories to celebrate Bobby's release. He even referred to him as the King of New York. Breezy was very loud and proud about Bobby's return on social media.
2. Quavo
Migos rapper Quavo was open about supporting Bobby as well. The rapper even said that he would personally pick up Bobby from prison himself. Quavo posted a video of Bobby getting off a plane and he was there to welcome him, along with a group of other friends.
3. Meek Mill
Meek has got himself into trouble after rapping about Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash but he took to Instagram to share how happy he is that Bobby has been released. Meek captioned his post:
"Welcome home Bobby, turn this all the way up."
4. 21 Savage
The Bank Account hitmaker was thrilled that Bobby is back and also welcomed another friend of his to the party. 21 Savage thinks that Bobby's release is a good start to the new year. He said:
"Rowdy Kodak and Bobby back 2021 starting off perfect."
In other world celebrity news, Briefly.co.za reported that Kodak Black's girlfriend flaunted her diamond ring as they got engaged. Rapper Kodak Black is now off the market as he recently asked his girlfriend Mellow Rackz to be his wife in a beautiful proposal.
In a video shared by Rackz on her Instagram story, the 23-year-old rapper had an aircraft in the sky with a message asking his beautiful woman to be his wife. The message read:
"Might as well marry me, Melody. I love u."
