Phat Joe trended recently after his recent juicy interview with MacG. Phat Joe chilled with the controversial media personality on the latest episode of Podcast and Chill with MacG.
MacG, his crew and the TV presenter discussed Phat Joe's alleged relationships and his alleged drug use. MacG asked the star if he ever spent a night with Muvhango actress Tebogo Thobejane. Phat Joe replied that he's "happily married". He revealed that he only got close with Tebogo recently.
"I remember bumping into her in public places like malls - she and Faith would look at me crazy. I only recently gotten to know them – we have mutual friends."
The radio personality denied claims that he was once a drug addict. The star shared that he used to drink but he stopped doing that about 6-7 years ago. He shared that people thought that he was doing drugs because he was hyped on the radio "but it was a performance".
Phat Joe said his first girlfriend in Johannesburg was Pushy. Pushy used to present the now defunct SABC 1 show Jam Alley.
The Cheeky Palate presenter also revealed during the interview that he has about six TV shows coming up this year.
In other entertainment news, Briefly.co.za recently reported that MacG has criticised celebrities who practice "selective" cancel culture. The host of Podcast and Chill with MacG came out guns blazing in his latest episode posted on YouTube recently.
The star called out activists, especially Mzansi celebs, who cancel people who are not close to them but keep quiet when other celebs within their circle are being dragged on social media.
MacG and his crew were called out by celebs such as Thando Thabethe and Rami Chuene when they were dragged for making insensitive jokes about the LGBTQI+ community.
"These celebrities jump on because they just wanna trend and jump on whatever outrage is happening at the time."
MacG slammed Thando Thabooty for not saying anything when DJ Fresh was trending a few weeks back when a woman accused him of raping her. MacG believes Thando should have called Fresh out because she's a GBV activist.
He told her to be consistent. MacG even went as far as saying the stunner should stick to "posting nudes on Instagram" because her podcast numbers are "horrible".
