His family confirmed that he passed away due to a stroke, he will be sorely missed.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that South Africans woke up to the tragic news that legendary actor Menzi Ngubane had passed away. He had a 32-year-long acting career with a number of memorable appearances over the years.

His family confirmed that the 56-year-old passed away due to a stroke. A lot of people took to the internet to pay tribute to the fallen actor.

In other news, South Africans have lost another famous personality. Noxolo Mashaqalala was found in her home, it is suspected that she passed away a week before she was discovered in her home in Honeydew, north of Johannesburg on Friday.

She was known for her role in the SABC 1 drama Tsha-Tsha in 2003 in which she played the role of Viwe.

Mashaqalala had also starred in Rhythm City, Generations and Intersexions. What made the tragic news worse is that South Africans woke up to the news that Menzi Ngubane had also passed away.
