Pearl Thusi's reaction to Noxolo Grootboom's retirement after 37 years with the SABC news department has been questioned. The media personality took to social media on Mam' Noxolo's last day at work and shared her thoughts on her retirement.
A teary Pearl Thusi took to Instagram to wish the veteran news anchor farewell just like the rest of Mzansi but many were not impressed that she filmed herself crying.
The actress, who is shooting a film in Thailand, described Noxolo as one of the most humbled person she has ever come across. The star said she wished she was in Mzansi to witness Noxolo's final bulletin.
"I feel like my childhood is being stolen, oh my God," she said while weeping.
The Queen Sono star's Instagram clip was shared on Twitter by @Wangqhazar. Other tweeps took to her comment section and accused Pearl Thusi of "acting" during her reaction.

Mam' Noxolo recently retired from the public broadcaster and many of her fans and Mzansi celebs took to social media to bid her farewell.
Minnie Dlamini also took to Twitter and shared her memory of the veteran journalist. The media personality said she used to get super excited whenever she saw Noxolo on TV. At the time, she was only four years of age. Minnie wrote:
"My mother says when I was about 4 years old I used to get super excited to see her on screen and scream her name around the house."
