Kind Cop Gets High Praise for Enrolling 2 Neglected Kids in School
- The SAPS recently released a statement about one of its serviceman who went out of his way to help three children have a better life
- According to the statement, the cop and his wife enrolled them in school after their mother neglected to do so for two whole years

A local cop, @Sergeant Andrew Nhlati, and his wife have received high praise after they personally went out of their way to see to it that two children who suffered neglect at the hands of their mother were sent to school after two years of not attending.
"In September 2020 an anonymous report was made to the police of three children aged 2, 8, and 11 years roaming the streets of Jan Kempdorp alone at midnight. Police followed up and found the children malnourished and physically abused.

"The mother was arrested and appeared in the Jan Kempdorp Magistrate’s Court and was released on a warning and the children were removed from her care. It was also discovered that the children did not attend school for two consecutive years.
"Detective Sergeant Nhlati and his wife went the extra mile to secure admission for the 8-year-old girl and the 11-year-old boy at a local primary school. They also bought complete sets of school uniforms for the brother and sister while the 2-year-old girl was also clothed by the couple."

In more heartwarming news, Briefly.co.za reported that Jeanette Mosa Buthelezi took to Facebook and posted an uplifting story in the #ImStaying group about a police officer who saved an elderly person from drowning. She captioned a poster of the officer with the following:
"He saved an elderly today from drowning at Phuthaditjhaba Qwaqwa. I'm staying because of people like him."
Social media users took the comments section to shower praise on the hero cop and many of them have said that this has restored their faith in the police, knowing that there are good cops out there.
