Mzansi author Jackie Phamotse has just bagged herself an impressive deal with Netflix to have her book Bare: The Blesser's Games made into a film on the video streaming platform. Taking to social media, Jackie announced the news and is very excited.
“Reading my movie manuscript is wild!!!! Seeing my name and Sabelo together is insane! This guy worked on all the SA hits on Netflix!"
"How do I have him on my team! God, you heard my cries! I’m in disbelief man! Oh, still can’t say anything about auditions, etc I’m already in trouble," she wrote.
Jackie has joined a number of Mzansi entertainers who have deals with Netflix and is thrilled to see her words coming to life.
The author published her book in 2018 and it wasn't exactly met with a warm reception. Many criticised Jackie's point of view and thought she was selling people out.
Jackie paid no mind to the haters and will now get the chance to have her story re-told for those who would like to see it in motion picture. She's currently working on a new book titled Liwa.
