Celebrities plan their outfit for the Oscars months before the awards ceremony. Choosing what to wear to an event of this stature is so important – you will either be in the headlines for good or bad fashion reasons.

The red carpet was on fire with some of the best-dressed being Margot Robbie and Halle Berry. Seeing the designer ball gowns flow down the red carpet is truly something spectacular.

In other Oscars news, Briefly News reported that American filmmaker Tyler Perry has finally received some recognition for his humanitarian work during the Covid-19 pandemic. Tyler has been committed to creating a safe environment for workers during the pandemic.

"He has quietly and steadily focused on humanitarian and social justice causes from the beginning of his career, caring for people who are most often ignored," said Academy President David in a statement earlier in 2021.

According to a report by CNN, the academy feels that Tyler Perry was instrumental in creating a safe way to return to production during the pandemic.
