Celebrities plan their outfit for the Oscars months before the awards ceremony. Choosing what to wear to an event of this stature is so important – you will either be in the headlines for good or bad fashion reasons.
The red carpet was on fire with some of the best-dressed being Margot Robbie and Halle Berry. Seeing the designer ball gowns flow down the red carpet is truly something spectacular.
In honour of those who took the time to choose the right outfit, Briefly News brings you six of the best dressed A-list celebrities at the 2021 Oscars:
Margot Robbie
This absolute stunner wore a sparkling silver floral Chanel dress. Margot’s dress was simple but elegant.
Halle Berry
This feisty actress wore a pinkie-purple sweetheart Dolce & Gabbana dress that floated down the red carpet.
Carey Mulligan
What a wow! Carey wore a show-stopping gold Valentino gown that sparkled brighter than the Oscar trophies themselves.
Angela Bassett
Poufy off the shoulder sleeves are so in! Angela’s jaw-dropping Alberta Ferretti red dress was so lush that it made her stand out on the red carpet, not blend in.
Regina King
This baby blue diamond-encrusted Louis Vuitton gown is something else. Regina looked like a queen!
Leslie Odom Jr.
Leslie was one of the only men who turned heads with his Oscars outfit choice. Rocking a full gold suit, tie and shirt, Leslie made his mark on the fashion front.
In other Oscars news, Briefly News reported that American filmmaker Tyler Perry has finally received some recognition for his humanitarian work during the Covid-19 pandemic. Tyler has been committed to creating a safe environment for workers during the pandemic.
"He has quietly and steadily focused on humanitarian and social justice causes from the beginning of his career, caring for people who are most often ignored," said Academy President David in a statement earlier in 2021.
According to a report by CNN, the academy feels that Tyler Perry was instrumental in creating a safe way to return to production during the pandemic.
