Three entertainers were killed between February and March 2022, before musician DJ Sumbody's murder in Woodmead, Johannesburg, in November 2022.
Oupa Sefoka, known as DJ Sumbody, made headlines a week ago when popular businessman Katiso Molefe was accused of ordering a hit to end the entertainer's life.
The Monate Mpolaye hitmaker was reportedly assassinated for knowing too much about a drug cargo that disappeared from police custody a few years ago.
According to Sunday World, the late music producer has been linked to a violent underworld feud over a multi-million-rand drug consignment that went missing in police custody in KwaZulu-Natal. Sources reveal that the cargo reappeared in Johannesburg clubs, where it was sold at a cut-rate price by "The Big Five".

South Africans learned about the death of talented musician DJ Citi Lyts in February 2022. According to media reports, Mkhize was shot eight times in Soweto, the day before Valentine's Day
The South African entertainment also mourned the passing of Thulani Msimang, aka Heavy Pablo, who was reportedly gunned down in Sandton in March 2022.

South Africans respond to the murders of the entertainers
@Aya_Muzi said:
"It’s ok, but oksalayo(at the end of the day), there are firearms that were used in murders of human beings. Someone should be arrested."
@reth_able wrote:
"I think it's because Dj Sumbody's death was more publicised and was killed mafia style. Too many people have never heard of DJ Vintos and Heavy Pablo. I, myself, included, it's my first time hearing of such names."
@kingStannis85 reacted:
"We all know Citilytes and crew stole from the wrong individuals. The individual is so powerful that law enforcement was reportedly instructed to stand down."
@Prince66289011 commented:
"I stand to be corrected. From Mr Mkhwanazi's statement, we can conclude that the killers of all those mentioned artists may be known and also working closely with someone in SAPS, which makes it hard for the killers to be caught."
@NdongaMpho commented:
"The reason we say it's DJ Sumbody is because he talked about drugs. We all know business partners of Sumbody are involved in the drug business. They even wanted to buy him out of that club so that they could run their business freely."
