It's not his first brush with fashion. The former Idols SA judge launched Sompire Kids in 2023.

The children's clothing line uses the slogan, "Brave enough to be yourself," and was created to encourage self-expression in kids.

It has gone on to achieve international recognition. Earlier this year, Sompire Kids made a surprise debut at New York Fashion Week, one of the world's most prestigious fashion stages.

Somizi shared pictures of the occasion on Instagram and wrote that even he was caught off guard by the feature.

But success in the kids' clothing space isn't enough for the Villioti Fashion Institute graduate. He says he's always dreamed of designing for women. His new clothing line is that dream realised.
