South African musician Scotts Maphuma appears to be living the high life after being spotted in even more luxury vehicles.
The controversial Amapiano vocalist was captured in a now-viral video with some stunning cars, including several GTIs and his multi-million-rand BMW, all rumoured to be his, or at least that's what the license plates suggest.
Posted on 10 September 2025, the video follows the star at a car wash with all five cars, sporting "SCT" plates, lined up for a scrub. Meanwhile, he's seen in the parking lot with Uncool MC dancing to their new song, Sya'Waver.
In less than two years since hitting the mainstream, Maphuma has become a big name in the Amapiano scene, which has helped him diversify his portfolio.
Not only is he the vocalist behind some of the country's biggest hits, but he is also a DJ, event host, and often throws massive parties in famous South African nightclubs.

However, it wasn't long before his video sparked unfavourable reactions from online users, who questioned Scotts' financial decision-making.
This comes after a number of celebrities were reported to be experiencing financial adversity. And netizens fear that Scotts may follow a similar path if he keeps splurging on pricey vehicles.

Social media reacts to Scotts Maphuma's cars
Online users are not impressed, with many calling Scotts out on his seemingly poor decision-making regarding his fleet of cars.
Many argued that it wouldn't be long before he, too, fell on hard times like the stars before him, who resorted to pleading for donations.
selsyl01 stated:
"You see why I don't donate to anyone's funeral? It's because I believe that they had a fair share. Why buy so many cars at once? Can't the money be used for investment or something else in case?"

"Donations soon, they'll say we're jealous."
DalingceboX was curious:
"What does his investment portfolio look like?"
luthaando16 said:
"Artists must start showing off their funeral policies also."
