Bathong DJ Warras didn't mince his words when he saw the late DJ Poizen's tombstone on social media.
The late music producer, who passed away in a tragic car crash he was involved in along with his friend and colleague DJ Chymamusique, was laid to rest on Saturday, 13 September 2025, in his hometown, Tickeyline village outside Tzaneen in Limpopo’s Mopani District, Napscom High School.
However, when his tombstone was revealed and shared on social media, the former Gagasi FM star, who had his drink spiked at a nightclub in August 2025, was in awe of how over-the-top the late DJ's tombstone looked. He further mentioned that they were doing too much, and they didn't have to have engraved such a huge statue.

Netizens react to DJ Poizen's tombstone
Shortly after DJ Warras made a remark about DJ Poizen's tombstone on social media, many other netizens flooded the comment section with their reactions to it. Here's what they had to say below:
@Kane_GM9 said:
"The sponsors wanted to showcase their talent, but they did too much; it's like a piece of art in a museum, not someone's final resting place. It lacks the dignity that a grave deserves."
@LedwabaRonald wrote:
"Nothing wrong with the tombstone. Maybe it's just not your taste. If an opportunity presents itself for a company to advertise their craft, why not? As long as the family is happy. That's all that matters."
@khulekaniphung7 commented:
"I see the love the family had for their son, and maybe expressing the love and passion the guy had for what he was doing and things he had achieved and maybe had done for them because of his job."

@MitchPlayer replied:
"That time his spirit is being tormented in Hades and Sheol for his sins🤦🏾♂️ Under that stone it’s just rotting bones, nothing else! Mental slavery is something else amongst Black people, none of that matters, the dude can’t even see that elaborate stone, absolutely useless and sad."
@cphumzz tweeted:
"Don’t mean to sound insensitive, but didn’t the media report that the family was struggling and in need of donations, or maybe it was another artist?
