South African musician Lamiez Holworthy extended a helping hand to a fan after being touched by her story.
On Facebook, the said fan, Itumeleng Jennifer Kheswa, revealed that she tried to copy Lamiez's hairstyle. However, the lady had to quickly take the hair out because of the pain.
Lamiez wants to help fan
The South African DJ and media personality, Lamiez Holworthy, was touched by the story of a Facebook user who wanted to recreate one of her looks. Lamiez did a very short bob look back in May 2025. Kheswa did the look, but she was not satisfied with the result.
A few days later, Kheswa decided to undo the hair, and she even shaved off all of her natural hair. According to her, the pain was unbearable.
"Haike, I sat there and trusted the process," Kheswa said.
Lamiez responded to the fan, saying she was touched because hairstyles are supposed to make women look good and feel confident.
"I saw the post on my way from gigs in the wee hours of the morning and giggled at how you narrated the story, but seeing the second one hurt me because no one deserves that, especially when a new hairstyle should make you feel good about yourself."
Lamiez then offered to do Kheswa's hair for free and directed her to a stylist in Soweto.
"If you’re near @Tlookshair in Soweto, I’d like to have him do your hair for free. If you aren’t, he can make a customised wig for you and courier it."

Hairstylist Vicky Eghan, who owns a salon, told Briefly News that this situation could have been avoided by using quality hairpieces and a qualified braider who knows how to work with wool and needles when doing such hairstyles.
"This hairstyle needs high-quality hair pieces that will be sewn onto braided natural hair. What I think went wrong here was that the hairdresser might have tightened the fibre too much when she was sewing it," she said, adding that they use wool and a large needle to bind the hairpiece onto the hair.
Vicky said some people overdo it and they tighten the wool too much, warning that this might lead to hair loss.
Fans showed love to Lamiez, who usually nails her hairstyles, and they gave her flowers for what she did. Others criticised the hairdresser.
Nthabiseng Mokgejane cried:
"Why I am chopping onions? Talk about women fixing each other's crowns. God bless you even, more sis."
Malekgobi Manne stated:
"True narrative of Women need to be fixing each other's crown."
Viola Seate argued:
"Just that she didn't have enough hair for the hairpiece to be glued to her head skin. Otherwise, the hairstyle was still beautifully done."
Thandazo Ntombela hailed:
"Lamiez, you're a true gem for helping out with fixing other women's crowns - literally and figuratively! Your kindness and generosity are truly inspiring. You're spreading so much positivity and love."
Lisakhona Ntshangase said:
"And there’s a perfect way to remove that glue, without hurting her like that. The hairdresser is so cruel."
