He wanted to dedicate four songs to his partner, not just as a romantic gesture, but as a quiet plea for help.

How Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma made the dream happen

The couple had been together for 23 years and, despite their deep desire to marry, financial hardship had kept the dream out of reach. Ngobese-Zuma said she was moved enough to pick up the phone and call in favours.

"I called some of my funders and made the wedding possible."
