Nota Baloyi has once again found himself in the spotlight after throwing shade at Pearl Thusi following her speaking engagement at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT).

On 25 August 2026, a video circulated online showing the former Queen Sono actress commanding the stage at the prestigious institution. Pearl had been invited to share her expertise on social media and content creation, offering students practical advice on building a personal brand and turning an online presence into a source of income. The clip captured her in full form, dancing energetically and connecting with her audience throughout the session.

This is not the first time Baloyi has set his sights on the media personality. He recently accused her of using substances, a claim that drew significant attention on social media. Pearl is not the only public figure to have found herself in Baloyi's crosshairs either.
