The announcement was shared by Pop Crave on X on Thursday, 10 September, and immediately sent fans into a frenzy. The milestone puts Doja in a league entirely her own, outpacing every female rapper who came before her on the world's biggest streaming platform.

Born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini in Los Angeles, Doja Cat is the daughter of South African actor Dumisani Dlamini, best known for his role in the film Sarafina!
