The announcement was made by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela on Twitter, now known as X, who said:

"Following a public marriage wrought with tabloid fodder, tumultuous family drama on a reality show and a tenuous resurrection of his music career, Phelo Bala will give insight on his life story in the new season of Behind The Story.
