However, his youngest grandson, Ferit Korhan, has just returned from studying abroad and spends his time attending parties and new conquests. Disappointed by Ferit, Halıs tasks his eldest daughter-in-law, İfakat Korhan, to find him a suitable wife to tame his reckless behaviour.
Although Ferit feels unready for marriage, when a possible bride is found from Gaziantep, he cannot disobey his grandfather's orders to marry her. Ferit is set to marry Kazim's oldest daughter, Suna. But on the night of the proposal, he chooses her younger sister, Seyran.
