African Woman Laments as Friend Sends Her Itemised Bill for R10K After Spending 1 Week at Her House

• A distressed woman is still recovering from the shock of receiving a R10K bill from a friend as payment for having hosted her
• Interestingly, it's the host who proposed that the childhood friend visit with her husband and spend the week
• The bill even includes the money spent on feeding her husband as he celebrated his birthday while at the host's house

A woman who spent a week at her friend's house was dumbfounded when she received a bill indicating that she owed the host money.

The two women, who are now in their 50s, have known each other and remained friends since they were six.

Host came up with visit idea

When she received an invite that she could visit together with her husband, she figured it was a free stay, given the history between them.

The woman shared her grievances on Reddit, lamenting it was not her idea to visit but rather an invite from the friend. During their stay, they did some sightseeing, including a stay in another city, with the friend seemingly happy to cater for the expenses.

Since her husband was turning 50 during the stay, the host even offered to throw him a birthday party, something she gladly agreed to.
