A season that belongs to thousands of South Africans

March and April mark one of the most emotional times of the year across Mzansi. Universities from Cape Town to Limpopo are currently hosting their autumn graduation ceremonies. Wits University alone celebrated over 5,500 graduates across 20 ceremonies this season. Rhodes University held six ceremonies between 25 and 27 March, just days before this moment happened.

The University of the Free State, which is right in Bloemfontein, began its own graduation ceremonies from 10 April. This graduate was crossing the finish line at exactly the right time of year.

Earning a degree in South Africa is no small thing. Many students navigate financial pressure, family hardship and years of grinding to get to that moment. For thousands of young South Africans, that walk across a stage represents years of sacrifice from an entire household. The staff at Kenworth Spar understood that and treated the moment accordingly.
