Acacia Primary School announced the heartbreaking passing of one of its learners, Omuhle Siyamthanda Khumalo, on 26 August 2026. The school shared the news on its official Facebook page, with form educator Mrs R. Singh leading the tribute.
The post described Omuhle as a daughter, friend and sister to those who knew her within the school community.
A smile that lit up every room
Mrs Singh remembered Omuhle as someone who made every school day brighter.

"Omuhle brought kindness and joy to our classroom everyday. We will always remember her contagious smile and infectious hugs. Her positive energy could lift the spirits of all around her."
The tribute acknowledged the void her passing has created. Mrs Singh added, asking that the community keep Omuhle's family in their prayers.
"Omuhle leaves an empty space in our classroom but her kindness and love shared with us will stay forever."
The post ended with a traditional send-off:
"Hamba kahle ezulwini ntanami" (Go well to heaven, my child).
