A KwaZulu-Natal medical student left South Africans beaming with pride after sharing a side-by-side throwback to his 2023 matric results. Mkhuseli Dladla, currently in his third year of MBChB studies, posted the comparison on Facebook on 31 August 2026, and it quickly struck a chord with people across the country.

The post showed his National Senior Certificate from Sikhulangemfundo Secondary School in Esikhawini, KZN. His results told a clear story: Level 7 distinctions across demanding subjects including Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting and isiZulu Home Language, all certified by Umalusi.

What made the post even more relatable was Mkhuseli's own honesty about his matric days. He admitted in the comments that he was easily distracted and had a soft spot for girls during that time, but managed to keep his priorities straight. His words were lighthearted, but the results speak for themselves.

The young man credited Sikhulangemfundo Secondary for being part of his foundation, giving a warm shoutout to his former school in his caption.
