A South African man brought the spirit of a backyard braai all the way to Baltimore, USA. He was cooking for fellow Springbok fans on the sidelines of the action when something completely unexpected happened.
The video, shared by @rugbymavericks on TikTok, shows the man tending to his braai surrounded by Springbok supporters in Baltimore. The team then surprised him with a cap signed by Springbok players. His reaction said everything. He put it on immediately, beaming with disbelief, and celebrated in a way that only a true rugby fan would.
The clip was posted with the overlay text: “So we went and surprised him with a signed cap from the players,” and the caption “He couldn’t believe it.”
Springboks in Baltimore
The Baltimore clash ended with the Springboks beating New Zealand 43–28 in the series finale. South Africa therefore secured a 3–1 series victory after losing the opening Test.
