A TikTok video posted by DRIVEtorque on 16 September 2026 stopped the internet in its tracks. The clip featured a walkaround tour of what is believed to be the world's largest driveable car, and the numbers alone are hard to process.

The vehicle is three times longer, taller, and wider than a Hummer H1 and is called the Hummer H1 X3. Each tyre costs $25,000 (R405,000), and the creator, who stands at around 5 feet 10, could walk underneath the car without ducking. The sheer scale of it drew millions of eyes almost immediately.

A two-storey car that actually drives

What made the video so remarkable was not just the size. The car is fully functional and road legal. It runs on four separate engines, one for each wheel, each started with its own ignition. The driver's cabin features four screens to manage the vehicle's blind spots, and a steering mechanism split across two controls. A fire extinguisher sits within reach, just in case.

But it is the interior that truly stunned viewers. A hidden staircase beneath the car leads up to two floors. The ground floor includes a sink, toilet and bidet. The upper level opens into a 60-square-metre entertainment space, complete with a pole for stability, and window blinds more suited to a luxury apartment than a vehicle. The windshield wipers alone stretch roughly four feet long.

Who owns the giant Hummer?

Dubai royal Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, known as the Rainbow Sheikh, owns the massive Hummer H1 X3, which measures 46 feet long, 22 feet tall, and nearly 20 feet wide. Built on a U.S. Army LARC-LX chassis, the 60-tonne vehicle has four diesel engines, reaches about 20 mph, and features a duplex-style interior with a bathroom, lounge, and other living spaces. The H1 X3 is displayed at the Sharjah Off-Road History Museum alongside hundreds of unusual vehicles from the royal’s collection.
