  • An American woman posted a sarcastic TikTok criticising the US government's plan to admit more Afrikaner South Africans as refugees
  • She argued the move was hypocritical given the simultaneous removal of tens of thousands of brown immigrants from the country
  • The video sparked fierce debate online, with South Africans and Americans divided over the Afrikaners' arrival

An American TikToker is going viral after posting a sharp critique of the United States government's decision to welcome thousands of Afrikaners as refugees. @.mama.cass posted the video on 23 September 2026, filming herself from bed in a selfie-style close-up.

Speaking to the camera, the American described the situation as "on brand," questioning why the country was rolling out the welcome mat for one group while simultaneously deporting tens of thousands of brown immigrants who had arrived on asylum and work visas. She said:

"They're moving us around like cattle. The brown ones go here, the black ones go there, and the white ones go here."
