A local mother’s touching surprise for her young daughter captivated social media and got her praises online for raising well-mannered children.

The video, shared on TikTok by @andiswamtshali10, garnered massive views, likes, and comments from social media users who shared a wave of emotional responses and admiration.

The video starts with the daughter coming through the door on her way from school. She gets in and places her water bottle in the fridge before getting closer and realising there is a plastic bag from Edgars on the lounge table. Still confused, she asks her mom what is happening while opening the bag to see what it contains.

The mom surprises her little girl with a phone

When she sees it is a cellphone, she immediately starts weeping and runs to hug her mom, who is recording the tender moment. She holds her mom while crying and asks if it is really a cellphone. Still in disbelief, she tells her mom that he thought it was just a box, but her mom reassures her that it is a cellphone. With her older brother's help, the little girl carefully opens the box. The older brother, at this stage, had also started weeping in excitement, expressing how much his sister had wanted a phone. The little girl then says she wants her friends' numbers, especially her best friend's, before thanking her mom again with a hug for the beautiful surprise.
