A resurfaced video of Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo gifting his wife a luxury Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon has left viewers heartbroken. The clip, originally from 8 July 2025, showed a joyful Lucy "Lulu" Muteke embracing her husband inside a car dealership as she discovered the custom-plated white SUV surrounded by balloons.

The video re-emerged in a far more sombre context. On 30 September 2026, Chivayo, Lulu, and four others lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Marondera Rural, Zimbabwe. The tragedy sent shockwaves across the continent, and the footage of the couple's happier times quickly circulated online, stirring deep emotion among viewers.

A moment of joy, now a painful memory

In the clip, Lulu's delight is unmistakable as she wraps her arms around Chivayo in what was clearly a moment of pure happiness. The balloons, the gleaming white G-Wagon, and the couple's warmth toward each other made the video a celebration of life and love. That joy now carries a weight that many viewers found difficult to watch. The video, shared by TikTok user @ch.mukungunugwa, became a bittersweet tribute to a couple who were taken far too soon.
