Four People Found Burned to Death in Two Vehicles in KZN

The South African Police Service in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) made a shocking discovery on Saturday, 15 November 2025, in the Umatata area of Inanda.

Burned bodies found in KZN

According to KwaZulu-Natal police, four people were found burnt to death inside two vehicles in Umatata, Inanda, on Saturday, 15 November 2025. Police said they responded to reports of two burning vehicles and, on arrival, discovered one body burned beyond recognition inside a Nissan NP200. Three additional bodies, also burned beyond recognition, were found in a Toyota Rumion nearby.

Three cattle carcasses were also found next to the NP200. The incident is under investigation. Police said that they are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The motive is still unclear, but officers believe the attack may be linked to stock theft. The victims are still being identified, and police are searching for the suspects.

Police in Limpopo are searching for the people responsible for the death of a prominent Limpopo businesswoman and her relative. According to Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the authorities were alerted to the incident at around 1 pm. When they arrived at the scene, the bodies of a white female and a man were found in different buildings. Witnesses claimed that one man wearing a balaclava was seen fleeing the scene. The spokesperson added that no arrests have been made at this stage and the motive is still unknown.

KwaZulu-Natal police found the burned bodies of a family of five, including two young children. Their bodies had already decomposed to a severe degree. The children are a two-year-old and a baby of one month. The police were alerted to the family's disappearance on 19 November 2021 by a relative who reported them missing. Brigadier Jay Naicker, a spokesperson for the province's police service, said that two men who were caught in Elandskop have been brought in to be questioned in connection with this case. The suspects, who were caught by the police, are 25 and 27 years old.

Homeowner discovers burned dead body in his yard

Briefly News also reported that an Mpumalanga homeowner stumbled upon the burnt body of a missing person dumped in his backyard.

Patrolling officers were alerted by an individual who had come across the disturbing discovery on his Balfour property. The motive for the killing is unknown, and SAPS investigations into the macabre crime are ongoing.
