Beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina found herself at the centre of alarming scenes outside the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, when protesters attacked the vehicle she was travelling in moments after her deportation hearing was postponed.
A video that quickly spread across social media captured a furious crowd encircling a car believed to be carrying the former Miss South Africa contestant. Demonstrators were filmed shouting at the vehicle, hurling traffic cones at it, while law enforcement officers struggled to bring the situation under control.
