Cristiano Ronaldo has come under sharp scrutiny after another failed attempt at taking a free-kick.

There is no denying that the Portuguese icon has built his name over the years as one of the best in the game and a dead-ball specialist.

However, he has struggled in recent years to make his free-kick attempts count. His struggles became apparent during last month's Euro championships when he took most of Portugal's free kicks without success.

Before the five-time Ballon d'Or winner took a free-kick, he was spotted murmuring 'eu sou u melhor,' which is Portuguese for 'I am the best.' He then blazed his free-kick over the bar, which elicited sharp reactions online.
