Ex Real Madrid Star Claims Liverpool Midfielder Is Better Than Bellingham
- Former Real Madrid star Rafael van der Vaart has strongly defended his claim that Ryan Gravenberch is better than Jude Bellingham
- The Dutch legend made those comments last year before the England star moved to Real Madrid
- Bellingham has become one of the best players in the world, while Gravenberch is just settling down at Liverpool
Former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur star Rafael van der Vaart has claimed Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch is better than Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham was one of the best players in the world last season after his blockbuster move to Spain from Borussia Dortmund.
The Dutch star has been making waves in the last few weeks at club and international level.
Gravenberch has earned rave reviews this season after an uneventful first season at Liverpool. Bellingham, on the other hand, is a favourite to win the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

Gravenberch has a chance to earn his spot in the Liverpool and Dutch team and the signs are encouraging.
Is Gravenberch better than Bellingham?
Last year, Van der Vaart claimed that Gravenberch was better than Bellingham in every way, and he has doubled down.
“What I think is the big difference (between the two players); Bellingham is a step lower at a club and always plays,” Van der Vaart said. “I think Gravenberch is better than him, in every way. Especially physically," per Football365.
After his controversial opinion, Bellingham went on to have one of the best debut seasons at Real Madrid.
The England star won La Liga and the Champions League, registering 23 goals and 13 assists, per Transfermarkt.
Meanwhile, the former Ajax midfielder had a difficult first season at Liverpool, often being used as a substitute. However, he has been reborn under new boss Arne Slot.
“I took quite a lot of stick when I said Ryan Gravenberch has the potential to be better than Jude Bellingham a year or so ago, but I stand by it,...I’m not surprised by how good he’s been this season both for Liverpool and the Netherlands," Van der Vaart added.
Bellingham opens YouTube channel
Briefly News earlier reported that Jude Bellingham started a YouTube channel, aiming to document his career and share the experience of representing Real Madrid.
Bellingham's decision to start a YouTube channel came after Cristiano Ronaldo started his channel, which has rapidly grown. Football fans have had opportunities in the past to explore the personal lives of players behind the scenes.
