Ruben Amorim's Manchester United suffered their second straight defeat in the Premier League after losing to Nottingham Forest.

The Red Devils lost the match 3-2 at Old Trafford and conceded some comical goals.

Andre Onana was at fault for DForest's second goal and was heavily criticised by fans who felt he should have done better.

Man United vs Nottingham Forest highlights

Forest took the lead inside two minutes through Nikola Milenkovic, who headed in a corner, but Rasmus Hojlund equalised in the 18th minute.

The hosts produced a decent first-half performance, but Forest threatened on the counterattacks.

Nuno Espirito Santo's team retook the lead early in the second half following two errors from Bruno Fernandes and goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Fernandes misplaced a pass in a dangerous area, allowing the visitors to run through on goal. Morgan Gibbs-White gave Forest the lead after his swerving shot went past Onana, per Sky Sports.

Chris Wood added a third for Forest with a header, which Lisandro Martinez should've cleared. Fernandes scored for Man United, but they couldn't get an equaliser.

Amorim reacts to Onana's error

Speaking after the game, Amorim refused to criticise his goalkeeper. he mentioned that he saved the team in the last few games.

"Onana already saved us a lot of times. We have to find a way when this happens to Onana, to turn around + score two goals, the same way he saved us in Ipswich. We have to improve in all aspects of the game," he said via The Athletic journalist Laurie Whitwell.

Gibbs-White was surprised his shot went past Onana.

"I didn't [think it was going in] at all, to be fair," he said via Manchester Evening News. "I don't want to discredit Onana, he's an incredible goalkeeper, but when I had the shot, I thought he was going to pick it up."

Amorim's side face Viktoria Plzen and Manchester City in their next two games.

Sports analyst Dan Ogetga told TUKO.co.ke Amorim can lead the Red Devils to fifth this season.

"He's a good appointment for the club in the context of the club's restructuring since he's young and ambitious. I hope he'll be given enough time to build a good squad that will compete in the future. Finishing in the top five is a realistic target for his debut season."

Nottingham Forest upsets United

Briefly News earlier reported that Amorim endured his second consecutive loss as Manchester United manager, falling 3-2 to Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford. This setback came on the heels of a midweek defeat at Arsenal.
