Rulani Mokwena was recently named the new coach of Algerian side MC Alger, and he's already scouting players he would add to his squad ahead of next season.

MC Alger participated in last season’s CAF Champions League but were knocked out of the competition in the quarter-finals by Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates.

Briefly News takes a look at four Bafana Bafana players Mokwena can sign this summer before the start of the new season.

Percy Tau

Tau is currently a free agent after his contract was terminated by the Qatari side Qatar SC this summer, and would be available to join a new team for free.

The former Al Ahly star was earlier linked with a return to the Egyptian Premier League after Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates all opted out on the chance to sign him for free this summer.

Thembinkosi Lorch

Lorch has been a regular under Mokwena through his coaching journey, and they might link up again in Algeria.

The South African midfielder played under the Mokwena at Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and recently at Wydad Athletic in the Moroccan league.

The Bafana Bafana star shows he's still has a lot to offer any team that signed this summer after putting up good performance at the FIFA Club World especially against Manchester City and Juventus.

Cassius Mailala

Mailala is also a player who has played under Mokwena in the past, and a reunion could also be on the cards as the Bafana Bafana star’s loan move with Wydad AC comes to an end this summer.

Mailala recently announced the death of his mother and he's yet to determine the club he would play next, and a move with Algeria might be perfect for the forward.

Buthasi Aubaas

Aubaas is another player who could be useful for Mokwena at MC Alger next season.

He has lost his place in Mamelodi Sundowns in the latter stages of last season and could do with a move away from the Brazilians this summer.

Miguel Cardoso seems to prefer the pairing of Marcelo Allende and Teboho Mokoena in the midfield with Aubaas now being relegated to the bench for an addition attacking player to the frontline.

Josephs raises concerns over Rulani Mokwena

Briefly News also reported that Orlando Pirates legend Moeneeb Josephs expressed concern over Rulani Mokwena’s potential return to the club as head coach.

Josephs questioned whether the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach was the right fit to replace the outgoing Jose Riveiro, citing past tensions and controversy during his previous stint at the club.
