Nabi explains why Kaizer Chiefs lost
Speaking to SuperSport TV after the match, Nasreddine Nabi, who recently came back from attending to a family emergency, admitted that the result was disappointing and pointed to costly errors as the main reason for Kaizer Chiefs’ defeat.
“We made too many mistakes that led to goals, particularly from long balls, and that punished us,” the Tunisian coach explained.
Despite signing several new forwards this summer, the Kaizer Chiefs coach highlighted inefficiency in attack as another factor contributing to their defeat at home.
“Going forward, we weren’t sharp enough in our build-up. Yes, we created chances, but we failed to take them. Sometimes football just doesn’t go your way, and today our opponents deserved the win,” Nabi added.
Looking ahead, Nabi urged calm and focus as the team prepares for their CAF Confederation Cup tie against Angolan side Kabuscorp S.C.P.

“The season is still long, and for me, this was just a setback. We need to regroup quickly and prepare properly for the knockout stage, which requires a different mindset. It’s important that the players move on from this result and give their best in the upcoming games,” he concluded.
The Tunisian tactician's explanation sparked different reactions from fans on social media.
