Sarah Langa found herself at the centre of an online pile-on after the Springboks were defeated 33-16 by the New Zealand All Blacks at Ellis Park on Saturday, 22 August, with her boyfriend Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu drawing sharp criticism for his display at flyhalf.
The 25-year-old, who returned from an ankle injury in May, started the match but struggled to impose himself, and frustrated supporters quickly turned their attention to his high-profile relationship as an explanation for the performance.
**Sarah Langa Trends on X After Boks Defeat**
Sarah Langa's name began circulating widely on X following the final whistle, with several users pointing to her as a factor in Feinberg-Mngomezulu's below-par showing.
"I blame Sarah Langa for this loss," one X user posted, a sentiment that others echoed in the replies and comment sections across the platform. The general thread of complaint centred on the idea that the flyhalf had been "distracted" ahead of the fixture.

Langa is a model, businesswoman and content creator who has been linked romantically to the Springbok since late 2024. Although Feinberg-Mngomezulu initially denied the relationship publicly, the couple made their romance official earlier this year when he shared a photograph of the pair together in Bali, timed to coincide with Langa's birthday. Throughout 2025, she had been a visible presence at Springbok and Stormers matches in support of her partner.
The two have a nine-year age gap: Feinberg-Mngomezulu is 25, while Langa, a divorcee, is 34.
**Sacha Posts "Reset" After Family Gathering**
Notwithstanding the criticism directed at him and his partner, Feinberg-Mngomezulu chose to mark the aftermath of the loss with a family meal.
He shared a picture on his Instagram Stories showing himself seated alongside his father Nick Feinberg, his mother Makhosazana Mngomezulu, and his brother Nathan Mngomezulu. Nick's new wife and Nathan's father were also present at the gathering.
