A Kisumu woman has warmed many hearts after gifting her house girl several goodies as appreciation for work well done in 2021.

The woman identified as Effie Keens Kaano thought it wise to reward her domestic help of two years as she breaks for the holidays.
Speaking to Briefly News the mother of one said she gifted her house girl cash, a smartphone and another feature phone for her mum along with a handbag so that she would not go home for Christmas empty-handed.
"She is just an employee like any other person. Like taking good care of my daughter every day is not an easy job plus the house and I thought because she is going home, a little token is everything," she told this writer.

Her nanny, identified as Nancy could not hide her joy as she received the gifts from her which were beautifully displayed on a chart that had a lovely message.
"Dear Nancy, thank you for taking good care of Herra in 2021. You are a blessing to us and we love you. From Mama Herra," the heartwarming message read.
The cash displayed on the chart amounted to KSh 15,000.
"Even people working in big companies get little tokens at the end of the year. It's the little things that count in life," the lovely lady told TUKO.co.ke.

Being the strong woman she is, Otieng, who works as a nurse said she decided to pick up the pieces and rebuild her life from scratch.
The hardworking Busia woman said she gifted her five-year-old daughter the rentals to heal the pain they went through when the landlord closed their house due to rent arrears.
