2 More aircraft incidents in January 2024

It's only two weeks into the year 2024, but there have been several life-threatening incidents in the airline industry.

The first occurred when a Japan Airlines aircraft with over 300 passengers burst into flames after colliding with a Coast Guard plane while landing in Tokyo.

This was followed closely by an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-9 MAX initiating an emergency landing after one of its windows blew out shortly after take-off.

The incident forced US regulators to ground Boeing's 737 Max 9 jets as investigations into the incident continue.
