Somizi Mhlongo has shared a snap of himself wearing a unique hat. He revealed that he is excited about the upcoming Durban July.

He also hinted that he would have MC duties at the star-studded event. It appears that he had bought a new hat for the occasion.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung took to social media recently to announce that he's now a private chef. The reality TV star even posted snaps and a video from his very first private gig.

The Idols SA judge warned his followers on Instagram that his services don't come cheap. He shared that one must be financially fit when booking him for a private function.

Somgaga captioned his post:

"My first private chef gig. I’m loving this journey. Book me, but you must be pocketically fit. I’m the Rich Mnisi of the kitchen."

In other news, Somizi Mhlongo is on the up and up. He recently celebrated an important milestone on his social media platforms.

He has accumulated four million followers on Instagram which is no small feat and a reflection of how popular he has become.

He posted a snap of an enormous bottle of G.H. Mumm champagne in the backseat of a Bently. The bottle had "Somizi four million followers" written on it.

He captioned the post thanking his fans for their support, tears, laughter and more. He also asked his followers for an R1 donation from each of them for 10% deposit on a house in Clifton, Capte Town.
