Thuso Mbedu may be starring in the Amazon series The Underground Railroad but she tried really hard to make it in the industry before. According to Podcast and Chill co-host Sol Phenduka, Thuso tried auditioning for Big Brother Africa many years ago but didn't make it.
This happened back in 2014 and Sol made it into the house but he didn't end up winning the R1 million cash prize. Sol says that the first time he met Thuso was during the auditions and he admired how far she has come since then.
Trying to get a big break in the entertainment industry is not easy but Thuso has worked really hard to get to where she is now. Having started her career in South African productions, she worked her way to the top and is now making it big in Hollywood.

It's hard to think that Thuso even considered reality television because she has shown that she is an incredibly good actress. Fans on social media have been praising the young actress for nailing her American southern accent in The Underground Railroad.
In other entertainment news, Briefly News previously reported that Connie Ferguson's daughter Ali showed off her new sleeve tattoo. Connie Ferguson's daughter Alicia recently got herself an impressive sleeve tattoo and has been showing it off.
The youngest of the Fergusons is living her best life and got inked, it looks like she got a lion tattoo on her forearm and it looks amazing. Ali and her mother have been working out tirelessly in the gym to keep their bodies in shape.
Their personal trainer once again shared a snippet of the mother-daughter duo killing it in the gym and fans noticed that Ali got a new tattoo. She hasn't posted a clear picture of the tattoo yet but it looks like it was professionally done.
Of course, tattoos need to be well-thought-out since they are permanent and perhaps Ali got this to celebrate finishing matric with flying colours.
