Siv Ngesi believes that there's no true freedom if there's still period poverty. The media personality was part of a panel that discussed ways to end stereotypes around menstruation.

The award-winning actor is the co-founder of a non-profit organisation named The MENstruation Foundation. The debated formed part of the Africa Coalition Symposium on Menstrual Health currently taking place until 27 May.

In a short clip posted on Twitter, the comedian encouraged his fans to join the conversation to help end period poverty.

The adventurous actor took to Instagram to share his excitement after doing well in the competition and to thank his coach for pushing him. He captioned the snaps he posted:

"I won my first international Pole Dancing competition!! Thanks for pushing me coach @sirenpolewear now let’s go get MY SA title!"
