However, her journey was a long one with many challenges. The award-winning sports presenter took to her Twitter account to share about her dreams coming true.

“I went for my Lady Rugga audition here in 2011. 7 years later, I got to be part of the SS team as Field Presenter, in one of the most historic matches of our time! My 1st Test match pitch side. The 1st of many. Oh, Ellis Park, I thank you #SportsAnchor #WomenInRugby”, she captioned the post.

Mohono’s fans commented on her post, congratulating her on her success in the sport industry, which is still seen predominantly as a male sector.

“And you nailed it! Congrats girl! Big things” one tweep wrote while another added, “Mooi man. How's the getting to know yourself and love yourself before "ntho tse ngata" going? Must be exciting with all your endeavours”.

Briefly.co.za learned Mohono’s first job was a waitress at Dros in Alberton during her matric year. Needless to say, she has come a long way since her days as a waitress.
