The love and support a child receives from their mother can make such a difference. Khanya Mkangisa is fortunate that she got an abundance of support from her mom when she was pursing her career in the entertainment industry.

The TV presenter reminisces the time that she was on YoTV. It was her mom that made herself available each and every morning at 6am to get Khanya to work.

Briefly.co.za learnt that, showing her gratitude, Khanya, now 31-years-old, took to Twitter to post a message to acknowledge just how supportive her mom was and to give her thanks.

Khanya shared the time that her mom fetched her from school in order to get her to her auditions on time. Her mom never whinged once, even with the early morning trips. Khanya wrote that all her mother did for her she did not have to.

From the beginning till now her mom is her biggest fan. She is forever telling Khanya how proud she is of her and this brings joy to Khanya’s heart. Khanya is extremely grateful for the person her mom is. She had to raise Khanya on her own with only one income.

Khanya goes on to say that even though her mom was raising her on her own, as this was on a nurse’s salary, she never gave up on improving their lives. Her mom made the decision to relocate to Johannesburg in order to improve their lifestyle.
