An unidentified woman was pictured recently wearing the South African Police Service (SAPS) uniform in a casual way.

Twitter parody account @AdvBarryRoux shared the image earlier today, Briefly.co.za gathered. It's unclear where it was taken.

The had untucked her shirt, pulled the bottom of her pants up above her ankles, and wore sandals. She appeared to be doing her groceries at a retail outlet.

The image went viral, receiving more than 160 replies and 300 likes so far. It was also retweeted close to 160 times.

Most social media users expressed disapproval at how the woman had turned the uniform into a casual outfit.

Others came to the woman's defence or had a hilarious take on the matter.
